Skiwi Plumbing & Trenchless

Sewer, Septic and Storm Water

Sewer lines, septic lines and storm water pipe are typically going to be 3 inches or larger in diameter if they are gravity drain. Gravity drains are most commonly used for carrying away used or undesirable water and waste.
If these systems are installed correctly, with attention to detail, you should expect decades of reliable service from them. These pipes must be able to “breathe”, therefore venting is necessary, which is why you typically see pipe(s) sticking out of the roof of buildings and homes. Gravity drains also must be installed on a slope, for gravity to do its work. Slope is determined by the size of the pipe being used, with 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch per foot being the most common. Without continuous support on the underside of a gravity drain, slope can be affected, resulting in sagging and shifting. This can be detrimental, as it causes slow drains, clogs and breaks. These issues are some of the common reasons for repairs and replacements.
Sometimes, depending on your scenario, it makes sense for us to do a point repair for a stand-alone issue or two. Other times, replacement is a better solution, especially if your pipe is older and closer to the end of its lifespan. Some challenges that we may face during pipe repair, replacement and installation include working around other utilities to prevent damage, setting and maintaining proper slope due to conditions, reaching difficult areas, and minimalizing landscape changes. These challenges can directly impact overall price.
We offer trenchless methods that can be a great solution to mitigate some of these challenges, if your situation is a good candidate for it. Trenchless technology is especially helpful for homeowners and businesses that have a well-established landscapes, paved driveways, walkways and other above ground obstacles that can be costly to mend and repair after your plumbing issues are resolved.

We currently offer new installs, replacement and repairment for piping up to 6 inches and some 8 inch pipe. Our price for a new sewer line, complete with connection inspections and testing will cost between $5,000 and $7,500 on average, depending on length and challenges.

Replacing sewer lines that require removing the old one first may increase the price by 5-10%. skiwi also offers some repair options for 3- 6 inch gravity drains that cost between $2,700 and $4,000.

*Our service of septic lines is confined to the building drain to the tank and the effluent line from the tank to the distribution box. Drain/ absorption fields are their own “systems” that we currently decline to undertake.
*Repairs are structural in nature, and we commit our attention to the structural aspect of piping. That is why, at the moment, we do not offer cleaning and unclogging as stand-alone services.
