skiwi Plumbing and Trenchless was first envisioned in 2009 as a “pipe” dream for myself, owner, Shawn Hilton.
As a husband, father and primary provider for my family, I have spent the majority of my 20-year career working out of town and away from home. Working on the commercial side of the piping industry was robbing me of memories that I could be making at home with my wife and three children. skiwi was born from the eagerness to provide for and spend more time with my family, while putting my skill set to good use within my community.
Working on the industrial side of plumbing and piping has provided me with a valuable experience and knowledge base that I can now bring to the residential sector.
Having been exposed to many different projects, with a wide range of materials and methods has given me a unique perspective that is beneficial for skiwi and our customers. Building the business new, from scratch, allowed me to take these learned experiences and build successful processes that benefit our customers by providing them with a stress free, streamlined experience.
I am pleased that skiwi allows me the opportunity to focus my attention on working with and making connections with members of my community and surrounding areas, no longer having my work interactions solely with utility representatives. Working with our customers on a more personal level is something that we enjoy, and frankly, feel that we do better.
As a “From the Ground-Up” business, the drive, motivation and foundation of skiwi Plumbing and Trenchless comes down to one single concept….
